What is Industrial Pretreatment

The purpose of the District’s Industrial Pretreatment Program is to reduce the amount of pollutants that can enter and adversely impact the wastewater collection system and Felix C. Davis Wastewater Treatment Plant.

This is achieved through a permitting system in which an industry’s wastewater is evaluated for its potential impact on the collection system, the wastewater treatment plant, wastewater treatment employees, and the environment at large.
