Homeowners and Residents

NEW: Requirements for Apartment Complexes

As of July 1, 2022, the most recent NCSD Sewer Use Ordinance was put into effect. Within the Ordinance, several changes were made. Most notably, there are new requirements for multi-family dwellings (including apartment complexes).

The new requirements apply to:

  • Newly Constructed Apartment Complexes (those completed after July 1, 2022)
  • Existing Apartment Complexes (contributing large amounts or FOG to NCSD sewer lines)

The new requirements are:

  • Complete a grease bin application (see below)
  • Sign an oil recycling service contract with a licensed waste hauler (see list below)
  • Submit the grease bin application and service contract to the NCSD FOG Department
  • Obtain and maintain a grease recycle bin on the premises for residents to use”
  • Educate residents on the proper use of cooking oil recycling bins and encourage continued use

For more information, please see the links below or contact the NCSD FOG Department.
